Topics- GDES 4316

The concept of my project was to inform people about the effects of social networking in the Middle East. Here are some pictures that help explain the process of my project.

Justin Cone from Houndstooth Studio showed me some great tutorials!

This tutorial showed me how to use a Null Object and parent it with a Camera so I can move the screen inward and outward.

The type I used is called Klavika, it is the typeface used on facebook. Thanks Roel!

The next phase in this process will be to create a 3D cube that will go inward and outward. Each country will be its own side plus and introduction and conclusion. The cube symbolizes the 'eRevolution' and its many complex layers. Also I would like to add music.

Interactive Design- Redesign Craigslist

In Interactive Design we were asked to remake the Craigslist website. This is what I came up with. I thought that ideally the page should easily be able to navigate through it. Also I thought the page needed a color scheme.

Junior Studio - Austin Metro Rail

This was our second group assignment since studying at St. Edwards. I personally enjoyed this assignment. I think our team worked great and we had very minimal issues. We were asked to redesign Austin Metro's City Rail billboard, but we went beyond that. We decided to create bags. The reason we did so was because we felt it was important to advertise for the Metro Rail, so the public is aware that it is there and ready for use. Also we designed bags because ideally we wanted to be green friendly and what better way than to sew reusable bags. We took the time to screen print on one of the bags. I lead the screen printing process since I have experience in that field.

History of Graphic Design- Diagram

Once everyone is class completed their 30 minute presentation we were then required to find an image that expresses different art movements.

This image falls under the Romanticism Movement. It was a 19th century movement that appeared in revolt against Neoclassicism. This movement was the start of artists making new and creative images.

This image also falls under the Impressionism Movement. Symbols like the sword are being used to express specific ideas about the painting.

Junior Studio- Field Guide

This assignment allowed me to explore some of my forgotten hobbies, like my love for dogs. I decided to create a field guide that allowed the reader to learn what kind of dogs are found on town lake during a Saturday morning. My conclusion is that most dogs out there are mutts. I went further and decided to create a second section that allowed the reader to compare the mixed breed dog to its pedigree version.
